Teaching in LA next year!!!

Hey Everyone!

I have been accepted to Teach for America! I will be writing and sharing my experiences with you all as I learn new and exciting things in the world of teaching!

Married Life

I have been married to Logan for 8 months now and dating for about 4 years. I along with many of you know my husband's "hobby" of following the San Fran Giants. When you are dating you spend a lot of time apart, and especially in public places. Generally speaking I wasn't over at his house a lot. Well, now I get the pleasure of living with him and understanding that this "hobby" is more of a "lifetime adventure." I now know that the Giants are 5-1, they have a great pitching staff, a decent outfield, and decent hitting. They are really relying on their pitching to take them to the World Series. The pitcher to take them there you might ask well that would be none other than youngster Tim Lincecum, with a strong arm also from Barry Zito. Giants last night started out rough for the first couple of innings, and then pulled it off with a 6-3 win. So to say the least I now know EVERYTHING there is to know about Giants baseball, and I think I need to enter into knowing it if I want to communicate with my Husband for the next 5 months!

Married life! Such a blessing to have such a wonderful man to come home to at night! Sometimes I can be moody, and a bit self absorbed. (Ok, maybe a lot) Well last night was one of those nights! I was trying to figure out how to do ALL this paperwork for Teach for America, and the Government documents, and all the stuff that goes along with being apart of Teach for America. I was getting frustrated with the lack of organizational skills the Government has, and was getting fairly upset. I look at my husband with the "I'm frustrated, upset, and at a lack for love at this moment" look and he just gets up does the dishes, and cooks dinner. Now, he could have ran.. (I think I would have done that) yet he simply was a servant. I love the man I get to call my husband everyday! He has shown me God's grace too many times to count. God brought me the most amazing man in the entire world!
